What do you always have in the booth?

“Chapstick, reading glasses, and my cat Caroline (unless she snores or purrs and then she’s out!)”

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

“I had recently graduated from an MFA in Acting program and was teaching at a studio in NJ. I met Kat Jackson there and she brought me in to audition at Audible Studios. Mike Charzuk made me do like five different accents in my audition and cast me in my first book shortly thereafter!”

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

“Growing up in a house without TV meant that books on tape and the radio (and my imagination!) were key forms of entertainment. When I started working full time in this industry my mom said, ‘Well that makes sense. When you were little you used to put all your stuffed animals out on the floor, lay down with them, and put on a book on tape. I wouldn’t hear a peep out of you for hours!’ And yes, I still listen to audiobooks all the time. (Just not with stuffed animals.)”
