“Water. Tea or coffee. Entertainers Secret throat spray. Lip balm. Frequent interruptions at home from my cat, The Chicken.”

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

“The great narrator Jonathan Davis provided an entrée for me… He and I were doing the play the Taming of the Shrew down in Atlanta, and he heard my voice and introduced me to his current company (true story… My first audition for the company was done on a cassette tape reading from actual books). It was non-commercial audio through the national library service for the blind and I absolutely loved it! From there, my whole career was born.”

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

“I have always believed that stories heal and transform the world. So much of my work started in romance, which is a field I absolutely treasure, and more of it now is in nonfiction and memoir. I write romance and romcoms, and I often narrate really deep, passionate stories that advocate for justice. No matter what I’m doing, I believe in the great power of storytelling to change the world.”
