How Ferdelle came to audiobooks

I began singing professionally at the age of seven, eventually became a recording artist and singer-songwriter, and started acting on stage around eleven. I kept training in voice and craft on stage and screen, fortified my obsession with books at the library, and began creative writing as soon as I could — eventually majoring in Book and Media Studies at the University of Toronto. I moved to California and was introduced to the audiobook world by a friend in a Meisner class who overheard my extended wish to also be a voice in animation.

In Ferdelle’s own words

My parents made my name up by combining theirs, and I was often mistaken for an Italian male if people saw my name before meeting my small, mixed-Asian, female self. Quite the identity crisis when someone says your name at a doctor’s office or a job interview, you stand up, and they keep looking around you for ANOTHER “Ferdelle Capistrano.” Yes, that is in fact me.
