How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I have always acted or performed in one creative sphere or another, from script writing to stage performing and even on radio. In 2020 an author reached out to me to record her audiobook and I was hooked! I used to listen to books on tape as a bebe, and I worked for (what was then) Chivers Press & BBC Audiobooks, so I feel it is very full circle moment. Give me a mic and I will tell you a story!

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

hiraeth /ˈhiˌrīTH/ Hiraeth is a Welsh word that means a deep, nostalgic homesickness for a home, time, or person that you cannot return to, or that may never have actually existed.

I have this tattooed on my arm — as a part Welsh / Scottish / Cornish mum of 3 very far from home (I was born in Bath and am now near NYC), this rings so true to me. I also think as an actor this is something I lean into to tell stories of heartbreak or nostalgic love.
