The Clutter Connection by Cass Aarssen (I narrated two books in the series by the professional organizer/YouTube star with her own channel ClutterBug.

What do you always have in the booth?

Throatcoat tea, Carmex for the lips, then my chakra crystals. Very importantly, hanging from my ceiling is my muse, Neith (Egyptian goddess of weaving), a beaded spider my friend made for me.

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

The 2008 economic crash eliminated my job selling aftermarket products to car dealerships. I decided to revisit my college major of broadcast journalism, until, while volunteering for Learning Ally, I discovered my passion for narrating audiobooks.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

This is a dream job. I’m a storyteller, an educator, a comforting voice, and a seriously reliable narrator. It’s hard work, but so rewarding. Listeners who get involved in the audiobook scene through social media discussions, or writing reviews, really have my heart. I’ve even had listeners identify me in public, leading to some interesting conversations. I pray I get to do this until I’m too old to climb into my booth!
