What do you always have in the booth?

My booth is lined completely with Leopard print Faux fur and Rhinestones. You can take the girl out of Burlesque but you can’t take the Burlesque out of the girl…

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I’m an Italian American audiobook narrator and actress based in London. Raised between Fresno California and Italy, I grew up surrounded by the beautiful and the glamorous of Rome, producers, directors and artists.
After studying acting and spending years performing in theatre in Los Angeles and London, I developed a wide performance background spanning theatre, Burlesque, cabaret, and immersive live performance.
In 2013, after auditioning for the RNIB in Soho, I fell in love audiobook narration, a medium that combined everything I loved most: character psychology, emotional intimacy, tension, atmosphere, and human complexity.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

Today I specialize in psychological suspense, thrillers, literary fiction, and emotionally driven contemporary fiction. I’m drawn to morally complicated characters, stories that explore the tension between vulnerability, damage, and survival. I like broken people and I like telling their stories because I believe deep down we’re all wonderfully broken. I love the Japanese art Kintsugi where if a pot has a crack in it, they don’t throw it away, they paint the crack with gold. I believe that’s true for each of us. I believe our beauty is in the imperfections we each think we need to hide. I search for those cracks in each character I narrate.
When I’m not narrating, I spend my days in my dopamine dream of a maximalist, colourful flat, surrounded by far too much Leopard Print Faux Fur and my chatty talking Bird Vlad, drinking copious amounts of espresso.
