What do you always have in the booth?

I am never without my giant water bottle, cozy blanket, purple dragon figurine from one of my favorite author’s books, and note from my big sister Laura that says “Love you, little sister!”

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

As a child, I knew I wanted to be a voice actor! My life took a different path until I remembered my old dream in my 30’s. I had no idea where to start. I didn’t know any narrators. So I lurked on narrator forums, got coaching, and finally felt ready to start auditioning. Then BOOM! I landed a fabulous series and I was on my way! Now, I host workshops at my local library, so that anyone who’s curious can come and learn about narration for free!

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

I’ll never forget the first time I heard my voice drifting down the hallway from my daughter’s room. She was listening to a book that I narrated! Then, her friends started listening and would eagerly ask me when new books were coming out. What a privilege to know that I will still be reading to my kids and grandkids even after I’m gone!
