How did you come to performing audiobooks?

My journey to audiobooks is a coming home of sorts. From books to acting to musical theatre to theatre to film&tv to v/o and back to books. I grew up listening to stories—Vincent Price ghost stories and Caedmon Records and WEEI’s “Mystery Theater.” I was a voracious reader. I decided to be an actor at the fine age of 9 (I’d just played Scrooge in the 4th grade Christmas Carol), got my BFA in Acting at Ithaca College, worked in theatre—much of it in new plays and development, working with authors, then v/o and coaching. Audiobooks have been a wonderful distillation of a lifetime of books and performance.
