How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I started narrating audiobooks in 1997 or thereabouts, for Random House Audio (before the Penguin acquisition) and the wonderful Dan Musselman. How I got into it is a story of persistence and kismet, because I knew I wanted to narrate back when audiobooks first emerged in the world of publication … books being my passion and focus since childhood, alongside on-camera and theatrical work
