What do you always have in the booth?

A picture of my late acting mentor, Alan Langdon so I can imagine him asking me, "How's your work going?" Also, a flameless candel and rose that my kids made me!

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I have a degree in Music Therapy and studied Musical Theater at Circle in the Square Theater School. I took a break from acting for about 10 years and then randomly took an Intro to Voiceover class while I was on maternity leave from high school choral teaching. I despirately missed acting and thought I would also support a friend and take her class. I never imagined I would be hooked! I think, because of my acting experience and love of theater, I gravitated to audiobooks and stayed there. After 3 years, I was able to leave my teaching position and narrate full time.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

I love narrating psychological thrillers (especially those centered on complex mother/child relationships), twisty horror, and gut-wrenching literary fiction. My background as a therapist, teacher, and musician brings a deep sense of empathy and emotional nuance to my character work. I am known for my intimate, textured sound that draws listeners into the heart of a suspenseful story, while my versatility allows me to turn on a dime and bring humor, warmth, and levity to the next moment. Listening to me is like listening to a trusted friend.
