Water, Tea, Ricola, Space Heater (It gets real cold in the basement up here in Maine), Picture of my wife and kids

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I started at 9, recording There Was An Old Woman into my Fisher Price red plastic tape deck. Always loved it. Then a career in Musical Theater in Seattle and NYC, then 15 years in restaurants…until I hit my 40s and it just hurt too much. My wife and I came up with a plan when my daughter was born…drop the cheffing, try audiobooks full time with a 5 year limit if it wasnt profitable. Hit it right on the dot and now I cant believe I get to do this for a career.
