What do you always have in the booth?

Coffee, then tea, water, lip balm, hand lotion, tissues, pen/pencil and paper, my notes for the book (I still like handwritten notes. every book has a file), a few personal tokens, eye glasses, lots of "hot air" :)

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I was working in theatre and independent film, and always looking for ways to support myself through creative endeavors. I knew about audiobooks through a friend who had been recording them for years. I always thought that sounded like a dream job. Some years later, I was lucky enough to receive an audition opportunity through another friend in the theatre, and just when I needed it most, audiobooks became a way of fully realizing a creative way of life.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

Watching the way this community has grown and come together over the years is constantly inspiring. I am not always sure I can keep up, but one thing that never changes is the kindness, and support. The "always trying to lift each other up". We spend our time putting ourselves into other people's stories, and at the same time we are living out our own. We may be spread out all over the world, and yet we are also so connected through this work we are so lucky to be a part of. Thank you for your love and work in putting this together and allowing us all to share in a bit of it!
