What do you always have in the booth?

Water and a dim light. I like to think I’m telling a bedtime story.

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I was finishing up my MFA in Acting in NYC, and I was realizing I needed to figure out a way to make a living. I got into and found success first in commercial voice over work. I found audiobooks through a random conversation with another voice actor, and on a whim went to the annual audiobook conference knowing no one. After that it was just years of building up my business relationships and honing my skills.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

It is my belief that it’s my responsibility to entice you to meet me where I’m at. I will not spoon feed you the story. It is a vocal invitation to draw you in, and allow your own mind and natural given creativity to fill your mind with the story and images as I provide the audio. In that way, we are both part of the audiobook creation experience.
