What do you always have in the booth?

My everyday must-haves include chapstick, VocalMist, computer glasses, a fidget item, at least 3 drinks: water, Throat Coat tea, something caffeinated

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I began listening to audiobooks during long commutes while working in radio and commercial production, and knew I wanted to explore what it would take to deliver a enjoyable, entertaining listening experience to others. A few years later, I began my full-time career as a voice actor, and trained specifically in audiobook narration to learn the ins and outs of this genre. My goals for this work continue to change as my own catalogue approaches 200 books, but over the years, my love for audiobooks has only grown.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

I’m passionate about representation and what it means for people to see themselves in characters and storylines. I love well-built worlds, dystopian settings where characters find a reason to bet on hope, unreliable narrators, levity in the darkest moments, coming-of-age, self-realization, beautiful twists that make me cry, releasing love that hurts, finding love that heals, and even more when several of these happen within the span of one story. I love hearing from listeners that something moved or delighted them, and I especially love working with authors who pour themselves into their work as much as I do.
