What do you always have in the booth?

In my booth: paper doll cut-out of Jane Austen, a “Slow the Fuck Down” sign inspired by Johnny Heller and cross-stitched by Zura Johnson

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I was a huge consumer of audiobooks – listening to them on my commutes to rehearsals/auditions. What a great way for a busy mom of 4 to get in her reading! Then it became a habit – I couldn’t stop listening. One day it dawned on me that almost all the narrators were actors and I asked myself, “Why aren’t I narrating audiobooks?” That was the impetus to start. And I’m still a huge consumer of audiobooks for both pleasure and for learning from my talented colleagues.
