Water, my daylight lamp, my amazing Google Meet narrator buddies (on mute of course!)

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I spent my early career in big data, but I’d been acting since I was young and my love of storytelling never really went away. I discovered audiobook narration and realised it combined so many things I loved: acting, books, language, accents and the rather appealing prospect of doing all of them in a tiny room by myself. I began narrating in 2017 and eventually left technology to become a full-time narrator. I fully embraced the career plot twist and never looked back.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

The best compliment you could give me is that, for a while, you forgot it was me. The idea that there’s someone sitting alone in a padded box making all those voices should vanish, leaving only the story. I want you to worry about people who don’t exist, miss places you’ve never visited and stay in the car for five extra minutes because you need to know what happens next. That’s the magic.
