What do you always have in the booth?

Lots of crystals, fake plants & outdoor photos, lovely review words to remind me I am good enough, a statue of the Hindu goddess Kali, Ganesh remover of obstacles, Lakshmi goddess of wealth and Saraswati goddess of the arts all on a wall hanging. Water and tea!

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

It was always my dream to be a voice actress, but low self-esteem and intense rejection sensitivity stopped me from pursuing it when I was younger. When my daughter started school a friend of mine asked when I was finally going to pursue voice acting – I said I didn't know, I was too scared, could I still act, what if I failed? She asked what I needed – I said confidence, and she helped me sign up for 3 acting workshops that very day. By the middle of the first one I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be, and I haven't looked back since!

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

It is my biggest honour to bring the written word to life for listeners. When I am in the booth I become completely immersed in the story and go on the journey with you the listener. I hope you love listening to the stories I narrate as much as I love narrating them!
