What do you always have in the booth?

I've got a Musketeer figurine from a theatre gig who keeps an eye on things as well as a tiny gnome rocking some cool shades who sit on my booth camera and reminds me not to take myself too seriously.

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

During my last season in residence at the American Shakespeare Center, the wonderful Andi Arndt came and spent an afternoon with the acting company and made a case for classical theatre folks in audiobook work. That career steeped in literary analysis with a deep understanding of story arc and character point-of-view laid a solid foundation for a rewarding voice acting career. After years spent performing on the road across the country, narration allows me to stay connected with my family while also tackling complex language with empathy and understanding.

I'm an actor and Earphones Award winning audiobook narrator based in the midwest. With 200 titles under my belt, my performances range from stories full of colorful characters to research heavy non-fiction. I have an extensive classical theater background of 20+ years, and I stay active with commercial VO and on-camera work. I’m drawn to projects that feature a dynamic and diverse cast of characters, yet are balanced with a wry sense of humor. I love being a joyful conduit for authorial intent. My commitment to imagination and authentic communication shapes listeners’ experiences wherever my storytelling finds them.
