Water, hand held fan, lip balm (home made – I know!!!!), tissues and Spike the dog.

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

Age 13: "Dad I want to be a newsreader". "OK you need Religious Studies". Hated it, left to join Mr Mason's geography class. Voice Dream: withered. Studied drama for my degree – they gave me an 8-track audio desk which was fun but I left and did daft things like decorate night clubs and cool things like work for film festivals for years and *eventually* I realised that I should have been acting all that time so I did that and thought…mmm how does one become an audiobook narrator? – I loved audiobooks. I discovered ACX, got some specific training. Bosh.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

I believe a good (fiction) narrator has to be an actor first.
