What do you always have in the booth?

Water or tea, always. I’ve got my interface right in front of me, mood lighting to set the vibe, and a few of my anime heroes hanging out in the corner. I also keep some of my favorite books nearby to keep me inspired. Like my own little cheering section while I’m recording.

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I came to audiobooks through acting and dubbing. I’d spent years working as a voice actor when I started performing in GraphicAudio’s dramatized adaptations, and I fell in love with getting to live inside these stories and characters for much longer than I usually could in other VO work. After hundreds of ensemble performances, I eventually made the jump into traditional, dual and duet narration. It felt like a natural extension of everything I already loved about acting, just with a whole lot more story to play with.

You care about these stories and characters so deeply, and getting to step into worlds you already love is something I never take for granted.
