What do you always have in the booth?

Coke Zereo, tissues, lip balm, a purple duck light-up squeeze toy, sometimes a cat (though they usually want to leave when I close the door)

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

In 2022 I had double knee replacements. During recovery, I listened to audiobooks when I could not sleep, and fell in love. But not all of the books I bought were well-narrated. I told a dear fellow CPA/Theatre degree friend that I thought I could do better – and she said “Well, you should!” I took it from there, starting with coaching.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

I’m a lifelong bookwork (I prefer Book Dragon). Hubby and I have way more books than we can read in one lifetime, and for me, that includes audiobooks. I’m a theatre major, did live theatre during the 1970s. I love telling stories – whether on stage, in a podcast, on-camera, or audiobooks. I love using my voice, love interpreting characters, love acting. It’s a way of communicating to others, the stories that I love.
