What do you always have in the booth?

I always have mint tea to keep my throat moist and my stomach quiet! I sometimes have my striped cat Minnie whose nose makeup is on point but whose narration skills need work.

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

Hollis has narrated more than 300 books for Harper, Brilliance, Penguin Random House, Podium Audio, Tantor, Audible, Highbridge, ACX and more. She specializes in dialects, (US, UK, Europe and Ireland), fantasy, paranormal women’s fiction, comedy and complex language. She won an ACX/Audible/AudioFile Narration Contest and has been happily telling stories ever since, recording in her home studio, Three Swords Studio.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

Playing powerful women on stage and screen and fighting with swords whenever possible, Hollis may be overcompensating for growing up with three brothers. Fave jobs include roles in Bull and Blue Bloods on CBS and playing leading ladies (and men!) in Shakespeare plays nationwide. She happily narrates many audiobooks, a bookworm’s dream job. Born in rural Ohio to a large, loud, loving family, she’s lived all over the US and specializes in comedy and dialects. She runs, cycles, cooks (YES CHEF!), throws balls hard, is a lifelong tomboy and a die-hard Cleveland baseball fan. She and her brilliant husband Mark finally went to Ireland this year! Sometimes… she still climbs trees.
