Water, a jaws harp, tissues, a tiny duck w headphones, a knitted potato

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I was approached by RNIB to narrate just Julie about 25 years ago when I was a lead singer and VA, since then I dipped in and out of audiobook narrating alongside commercial and documentary narration and stage acting. Recently I have become more focussed on audiobook work and now do this full time.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

My mum always said that I “came out jabbering” (Northern English for being chatty). As a kid I gave everything a voice with an accent and personality. Now I get to do that for a living narrating stories, from dark to cosily daft with romance in between. What a life!
