Water water water. Sometimes tea. Mario Badescu Lip Balm – the best. Grether’s Lozenges. Very little air!

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

I’ve been doing musical theater since childhood, and grew up to be a Broadway performer and session singer, but I was always a major bookworm and dreamed of narrating audiobooks like some of my friends. I got the chance back in 2019 when an old friend was working for a publisher and asked me to come in and read. Thankfully, it worked out and I’ve been working ever since!

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

Many actor friends ask me about getting into narration. I tell them it is the hardest, most grueling thing I’ve done in the acting field. It is hours of talking in a small room, so you have to LOVE reading, and authors. Whenever I’m having a tough day in the booth, I remind myself how lucky I am to read for a living, and that the author worked long and hard crafting this book, every sentence. It’s a privilege to be trusted with bringing their words to life! I’m always going to give it my all for them.
