Hot water, chapstick, post-it notes with reminders to slow down and PLAY and my quarterly goals, and a little Playmobil figure with a leaf blower as a talisman of silence!

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

After years performing on local stages and in front of cameras in many amazing roles, I realised I wanted to make acting my life. One small complication: I am not a city person! I love the peace of rural living, and having my own land for my horses was a competing dream. I don’t remember when I discovered Librivox, a volunteer-run site for narration of public domain texts, but I do remember the joy of discovering that I could perform at home in my sweatpants, on my own schedule, play all the parts, read books, and eventually get paid to do it. I booked my first paid narration gig in 2014 and the rest is history!
