Conquer the Dark series by T.L. Payne

If a listener wanted to get to know your work, which of your audiobooks would you point them to?

All Carry by Gene Wojciechowski
Brutal Reset by T.L. Payne
Eternity Island: Game of Champions by J.J. Kellaway
Edge of Hope by Lennan Daniels
The Reality of it All by Allison Speka

What do you always have in the booth?

Microphone. Page-a-day crossword calendar. A giant ‘squishmallow’ stuffy to cover my stomach when it gurgles; I stole it from my kids.

How did you come to performing audiobooks?

For twenty-five years I traveled the world working backstage on rock concerts, Broadway musicals, and Fortune 500 keynotes.

While I sat at home in 2020 with my wife and kids (thanks, COVID), I took my first acting class and fell hard for the art of audiobooks (60 and counting). I traded dark theaters and arenas for a dark recording booth in my attic; the stories that kept me up at night as a kid now keep me enthralled during the day.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

When I’m not recording, I can be found building a LEGO set or learning a new sport with my kids (or crafting a cocktail for my wife at the end of a busy day).
