Hey. My name’s Evelyn McCauley. I’m an audiobook narrator, but I also listen to them. And this is one of my favorites. It’s called The Pharaoh’s Cat, written by Maria Luisa Lang, and narrated by Ryan Burke. It tells the tale of a cat that is granted human sensibilities and skills, including the ability to walk upright. It becomes the best friend and closest advisor of the current pharaoh, who, through a string of plots and subterfuge, is assassinated. So, the cat escapes through time travel to present-day New York City, and enlists the help of an Egyptologist’s daughter named Elena. The two of them set about to solve this ancient mystery and find an ancient Egyptian spell to raise the dead, so that he can bring his friend the pharaoh back to life. It’s a charming read. The writing is great. Mr. Burke does a fabulous job with all the characters, but most especially the cat. I highly encourage you to check it out.
