After acting onstage and on camera and teaching in the classroom for nearly a decade, my husband (a prolific audiobook listener) mentioned he thought narrating would be right up my alley, and wouldn’t you know it, this beautiful job marries all those things (acting, directing, telling stories, dramaturgy, bringing people in, teaching and opening up new possibilities). I immersed myself in the audiobook community, which is full of some of the most generous, kind, interesting people. I trained with coaches and learned to tell stories in a different medium. Except in this world, I get to play all the parts!
Fun Facts:
1. You’d be surprised how many bloopers are NSFW!
2. I really do find/share a piece of myself in each character I get to play.
3. Sometimes I have more empathy for my characters than people IRL.
4. I still stay up past my bedtime reading… don’t tell my kids!
