How did you come to performing audiobooks?

As an actor, I was seeking a flexible ‘day job’ that wasn’t going to suck my soul. I had already booked a couple of VO commercials and thought “well huh, I have all of this fancy equipment in my apartment, why don’t I try to make a living out of it!” I booked my first audiobook on ACX and haven’t looked back. I was able to quit all other soul-sucking day jobs and turn talking to myself pretending to be many people (aka bring stories to life and creating whole worlds with just my voice) in just 6 months!

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

It is always so so special to me any time I hear that someone has listened to a book I narrated, especially when it’s from a young person (I narrate a LOT of under 18 books). I pinch myself every day that I get to tell stories for a living and I am certain that feeling will never get old.
