How did you come to performing audiobooks?

Mid-way thru my teaching career, my wife suggested I take up a creative side hustle and said “Have you ever thought about narrating audiobooks? You have a background in radio, maybe you should consider audiobooks?” And we gutted a closet, got some gear and acoustic treatment, and I launched my narration career.

Anything else you’d like a listener to know?

I have always been a storyteller. I believe it is the oldest artform of humankind. In fact, I would go as far as to say that storytelling evolved along with humans. We love telling stories, we love to be told stories–it’s a part of us in a way that cannot be removed. Being a storyteller for a living? That’s a dream come true for me.
